Overview:
Four and Cake sought a strong online ranking and presence in comparison to their competitors in Kelowna. As a local small business with big talent they wanted to ensure this was integral with their online branding. Also important to them was establishing the right look for their target demographic- clients who were interested in creating picture-perfect moments during special occasions. 

What We Delivered:

  • Custom SEO-Friendly Website:
    Designed and developed a clean, responsive website optimized for speed, user experience, and conversion. The site includes a look book menu, an online submission form, and trust-building elements (testimonials, certifications).

  • Local SEO Strategy:
    We targeted keywords and ran ads to help build a local Okanagan, and particularly Kelowna-based presence that would help bring Flour and Cake to the forefront of local bakery searches. 

  • Google Business Profile Optimization:
    We went through the Google business profile and implemented a number of changes to optimize it for the desired demographic and online ranking, as well as standing with Google themselves. 

  • Ongoing Strategy Enablement:
    We continue to work with Flour and Cake to ensure that online performance continues to grow and that the website analytics are matching the client’s vision in terms of conversion and drawing attention to the right items.

We rebuilt Flour and Cake’s website to be faster, easier to navigate, and most importantly- to rank strongly, delivering more clicks and more clients. 

A strong GMB (Google My Business) profile is essential for new and local companies. For Flour and Cake it was important to not only rank high among Kelowna bakeries, but to have a profile that spoke strongly to their target demographic and increased traffic to their website in addition to conversion.

It’s critical for any online food business to being to provide a menu, and even better if their clients can see what the product looks like before ordering. Creating a Look Book for clients to see the different options Flour and Cake had available was a key part of improving their experience for their clients as well as improving website engagement. The Online Submission Form is a must have, but ensuring that it was easy for their clients to navigate and use was our priority and pleasure to deliver.

Mobile devices continue to dominate as the top device used for local online searches. We ensured Flour and Cake’s site loaded in under 3 seconds across devices, eliminating the friction that often causes visitors to bounce. Mobile responsiveness and page speed are also ranking factors in Google’s algorithm, so this optimization directly supports better SEO performance and user experience.
